Merry Christmas!

I wish for you the most amazing Christmas ever!  And I pray you have a great 2012.  Wow, 2012.    Anyway, just relax and enjoy Christmas.  After all, it isn't about US.  Amen!

Let our kids know what to expect

This will vary according to ages and what your children already have, but my husband and I are just now getting to where our kids are just starting to "test us" and we want to have so they know up front, what their consequences will be. We Christians call it "sowing and reaping" Here is ours that is hanging on frig and each in their rooms. Maybe this can help you. When kids know what to expect ahead of time, THEY CHOOSE THEIR CONSEQUENCES.  Now it falls on them, not you.

And, of course, it is based on our Christian values.   Do we all have children that know our Christian values?

If you would like a copy of what we are using, you may print it off here at A1organizing.com under "kids".

This helps in so many ways, you must see, because if you were like me as a kid (and I still question), I wanted to know "why?"  why is something important or right or wrong.  This tells them.

Is it BiPolar... or PIEpolar...

Watch above or quickly read below:

Bipolar or PIEpolar?

There are just times when we choose to be in a bad mood, like me. I broke my pelvic bone in 2 places and my back in 1 place – it took my whole summer. And people have the nerve to tell me to cheer up when all I really wanted was to be left alone in my pity party. Sound familiar? Sound normal?

We don’t always need a medical diagnosis to change what feels like depression. In fact, what some may think of as “Bipolar” might really be what I call PIEpolar. Sometimes I’m Pie. Yes, even “Holly’s Habitude” can get crusty, sometimes I’m a bit flaky and fruity and believe it or not, sometimes I can get a bit sour, or even a dry and hard to swallow. But really, it’s my choice. Just like it’s your choice.

Other times we can be cake. We can be firm yet sweet, light, fluffy and in good taste. We can be so similar to cake, that people can’t wait to be with us! And once again, it’s our choice. The only difference really… the ingredients. You only get out what you put in. Hey, isn’t that what the Bible says?! God’s Word tells every single one of us in Corinthians that we can capture our thoughts and hold them captive. We don’t have to let the Pie take over – let’s change the ingredients!

Our attitude is by choice and is what decides if we will be PIEpolar today or cake tomorrow. I found as I was lying on the couch for months, only using a walker to painfully get anywhere, I was solely focusing on my temporary situation and I wasted a whole summer being PIE. It was me who wasted my summer, not my injury. Instead of focusing on my family, my overall health, my blessings and my God, I was focusing on all the ingredients that for the most part made me dry and crumbly.

I find when I’m feeling a bit PIEpolar it’s because I’ve let myself get too far from the Word of God and I start to believe the lies of the world, not the Truth from my Creator.

So when you begin to feel a little PIEpolar, get rid of the nuts and fruits that are your bad thoughts and start from scratch. Write down your blessings, sadly we overlook them if we don’t. If you have a hard time seeing your blessings then maybe you need a friend, coach or mentor to point them out to you. But even without knowing you I know that you can see, you are educated, you have choices, and you have a heavenly Father that cares about you even more than you care for your own kids. Now that’s a cake in the making!

So what will it be, pie… or cake?!

Beautiful Beginnings

You can see our home upper right and our cabin down below the dirt road.  The flowers you see to your right are absolutely amazing, see up close next~  By the way, that cute cottage is for rent most year round and it is breathtaking and relaxing just a couple hours south of Cleveland /Akron / Medina areas.   See more about that at
www.coolcabinstuff.com

This field is full.  So many think that "summer is the end" when actually there is so much beauty to follow.
This is not Goldenrod my friends.

These are some of the most beautiful of God's flowers, and sometimes we don't even notice them.  Notice them.

Don't be down that summer is ending, hey, I wasted my summer with a broken pelvis and back, it's like summer never even happened... but it can't change my Habitude.  I'm holding out out for what is in store, God has plans for all of us.
As always, God's Word is always Truth.  No one can clothe like He can.
This looks like a postcard to me!  I feel so blessed.  I literally drop to my knees several times a day to thank Him.  Even if it's in the middle of a Gramma mess.  I'm so grateful
When my husband took me out to see these, I couldn't believe how beautiful, so I just wanted to share it with you.  Fall is also a beautiful time of year, I hope this helps get you in the right spirit!
Ahhhhhhhh - except for the BarbedWire of course LOL
And I'm grateful for cows too!

I hope you smiled, I hope it helped.  Summer isn't the end.  Fall is just the beginning!

How to start being that Shining Light

So the very first thing we must KNOW in order to live the life of a SHINING LIGHT,  is that we MUST be organized, we must be purposeful.  The law of the land never changes, but we must know the rules to play properly and get the outcome we desire!  Okay,   Here are the rules...are you ready?

GENESIS 8:22  tells us that as long as the earth remains we will have sowing and reaping - what you think, say and do will grow - in ourselves and in those around us.  The Bible tells us in Galatians not to give up because we will reap our harvest, in His proper time, if we do not give up.  If you are in the will of God, do NOT give up.  Be that Shining Light!

If you need motivation or coaching in your endeavor to live life by the Word, contact me. I won't let you be anything less that what you were meant to be.  As Mothers we have a huge responsibility to stop and think before we speak or act!  As a mother of 3, grandmother of 2 and happily married over 21 years, I do personal coaching as well as on-line coaching coming soon.  Please contact me for more information - Hey, we all need our own cheerleader and motivator sometimes, for sure.

Until  next time...  Less mess, less stress...  and May God bless.  Clear the clutter from your mind so you can sow purposeful seeds this week!  Remember, your seeds are what you think, say and do... be careful... you affect more than you realize ladies!

Simply Grateful

I am so grateful to be walking normally today, I could have been in a wheelchair due to my own stupidity.
I am so grateful to have a faithful husband when I so much heartbreak among friends.
I am grateful that my children are healthy enough to be loud and annoying.

I am grateful.  So today I will ACT AS IF and not complain.  Not even once.

How about you?  What are you so grateful for?  And how will you ACT AS IF?

I know if I don't do some things "on purpose" they just never get done, even gratitude.

Swearing creates Wrinkles & I have proof!

This is to anyone who commonly curses, whether it’s you or someone you know. People need to be warned before it’s too late, this is very serious. Many of us don’t see people who swear as cool or flattering, in fact, what my family sees is kind of frightening! This vulgarity surpasses any good looks or charm a "common curser" may think they have, so please, before you swear in or around my family, just know that this is how we see you…

Sorry to be so graphic, but even in the middle of all this is a lesson. As a parent I look to almost every situation to catalyst a life lesson and “wow” with altheimer’s Grammy we have several. But the swearing, oh my. The kids call her Grandma “Blank blank” and actually tell their friends who curse that they remind them of Grandma. The kids who know Grammy suddenly realize how unattractive they are or how unintelligent they sound. Not too flattering when we realize using swear words only mean that we have as limited a vocabulary as an Altheimer’s patient. Can’t we be more creative than an old woman that knows a dozen words!?

Or let me plead to your vanity… Grammy has aged 15 years since she started her “cuss fest” 6 months ago… something to be said about the faces and wrinkles we make when we swear… look in the mirror… “your face might stick that way”… Grammy is just in her 60’s…

So ONE MORE TIME… and Parental Guidance may be needed for this, but it must be known what swearing does to you… Here you have Grammy before and after "CussFest 2011"

Pass this on to someone whose language can be as offensive as Grammy’s! Certainly no one wants to sound this unintelligent and no one wants to age this quickly!

WOW, so much cheating and unfaithfulness! How YOU CAN prevent this!

Here is an absolute way to strengthen your marriage and virtually guard your family against infidelity... GUARANTEED!

It is Time.

This is something I will fight for.
I hope you read it all the way through.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

I'm asking each addressee to forward this Holly's Habitude or to re-tweet and/or facebook this to a minimum of twenty people on your address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

Congressional Reform Act of 2011

1. No Tenure / No Pension.   A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message.

Our Country is in trouble because of greedy people who don't care.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX IT!!!!!
   IT IS TIME.

You wonder what you can do.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
is what you can do...
Pass it along to all those you know,
talk to your family and friends this week,
this weekend...
Maybe it's not too late.

Purposeful Parenting

As a Christian Professional Organizer my solutions to organizing everything come straight from the rock solid, age old proven methods of the Bible, no messing around.  I’ll take scripture and truth over trendy ideas and hypothesis any day.  You see, what’s trendy is here today, gone tomorrow.  Trendy is tactical, not for long term.

Purposeful parenting is more strategic than tactical.  Purposeful parents are thinking more about the effects of later - instead of what feels good right now.  Letting our children sit in front of the television for hours may feel fine at the time; in fact, TV is a great babysitter if we are only looking short term. That is tactical thinking.   Where the strategic parent, a Bible reading purposeful parent, knows that Genesis 8:22 is the law of the land and LATER we will be reaping the harvest of what was planted today… right now.

Purposeful parents sacrifice.  If we aren’t sacrificing FOR our children, we ARE sacrificing our children.    There should be a lot we don’t do, say or watch simply because we are parents.  When I speak of sacrifice, I mean sacrificing our fleshly desires for the long term spiritual and emotional health of our family.   It is OUR JOB to teach self control and self discipline.  We need to be the example to show that when we practice self control, like any muscle, it gets bigger and better the more we exercise it!

We need to be SHINING LIGHTS for the Lord!  Simply by living and enforcing just these five things, we become more purposeful now, for a fantastic harvest you can count on later:

#1   As with almost anything we want to change… the transformation starts with us.   So the first thing is that WE must know the Word.   The Bible is our manual on how to live, how to work, how to behave, how to confront, how to handle, how to win, how to lose, how to love, how to everything.   To play by the rules, you must know the rules!

Matthew 22:29   Jesus says “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the Power of God”

#2  Our families must know God and what He says about them!  If our children don’t have the solid foundation and security that comes from knowing who their Creator says they are, then they are open to what the mass media says about them.  The media says you aren’t good enough unless ____________, or you are too _____________.  Fill in the blank, there is a program or commercial for anything you put in there!

Proverbs 22:6  “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it”

#3  Get the television and computer out of their bedrooms!  Do we really want our children to be isolated and away from us?  Christian parents whom allow this are not being purposeful.  Would we purposefully drop our kids off alone where people are speaking negatively about God, our families, or where they mock our morals?  Do we allow our children to be alone with other adults who don’t share our same values and beliefs?  You can’t even argue this point.

1: Peter 5:8  “Be self controlled and alert, your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”

#4  Ah yes, clothing.  When we dress our princesses like girls who don’t respect themselves, it draws the attention of the one you want to guard against.   Here is one more time where we, as mothers, need to be the example.  Our little girls are set up for depression as soon as we set them up to believe how they look is most important.  The shorter the shorts are now, the heavier the medications needed later.

Proverbs 11:22  “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion”

#5  Give responsibility.   Accomplishing something makes us feel good, for a good reason.  Don’t you love to scratch something off the list when you’ve finished it?  Don’t rob your children of that!  Beginning by ages 3 and 4 they can fold clothes, put dishes away, clean rooms, pick up their own stuff.   Parents are crazy when they are rushing around doing it all and the kids are watching TV!  Responsibility creates character… plus you won’t be living with an unemployed character when he’s 40.

Proverbs 19:18 “Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death”

 Yikes!

Because the Book that never lies says so, by following these 5 rules we will have happier, healthier Christian homes and we will be SHINING LIGHTS for those around us.  It’s a dark world, we are so desperately needed.    We tend to plan more for vacation than for our daily lives!  Remember, we only get a great harvest on purpose.  We only get true joy and confidence on purpose.  And we only get God’s best on purpose because our families won’t get to heaven by accident!

I made this just before I broke my Pelvic bone in 2 places and my back in 1 place. I am still this passionate, only now it is from the couch!

She broke her what?!

So what special thing is my family doing for me on Mother's Day? Waiting on me hand and foot... because I broke my butt. Yeah, I have 3 bone breaks, one in back and 2 in pelvic bone on right side. Thank God only one side or I would be bed ridden. Funny, the flips on diving board, tree climbing Mom is now using a walker. Could have been worse, God is so good! Let us all, no matter what the circumstances be thankful!

Hmmm...

Am I the only one wondering why we would rather ruin the farmlands and a whole year of food than having the homes flood? There is plenty of notice to take your "important stuff" with you and with the state of emergency declared, homeowners will have the $ and can rebuild in a few months. But our food is now gone for an entire year. I pray you all are paying attention and can see what is coming!
Just remember, we Christians don't panic, we prepare!  If we would have seen the gas prices coming and were able to store it up, we would have, but we didn't.  But you CAN'T go without food!  We are still offering Free Shipping to our friends.

No butts, no boobs, no bellies

Oh it must be Spring. At WalMart I thought I was looking at bathing suit bottoms, but they were girl's shorts! And considering most little girls don't have jobs, I just have to ask "Why are we, their protectors, buying this stuff? It is not easy to find shorts for my 12 year old who's legs are as long as mine, but she's worth it. I don't want some pervert staring at my daughters butt to read what it says, I don't want some molester targeting my daughter thinking she may be "easy", nor do I want her future husband to think she's "out there" for just anyone.

But wait there's more... When women don't realize the connection between this trash and their depression the daughters become victims as well. Sad. True Confidence will never come from something that will fade, fall or flab!

Do your daughters (and my son) a favor and buy on PURPOSE.

The three B's are easy to remember in dressing our children:

No butts, no boobs, no bellies

Holly's Habitude: Please pass this on!

Seldom will anything shock me, but this is absolutely amazing:

If you were alive when Christ was born, and on that day you began to spend a MILLION dollars every single day, you still would not have spent one TRILLION dollars by now! WHAT?! If right this moment you went out and started spending one dollar every single second it would take you over 31,000 years to spend 1 trillion dollars.

One Trillion dollars has 12 zeros behind it! $1,000,000,000,000

A million is nothing, look at this:

A MILLION seconds is 12 DAYS
A BILLION seconds is 31 YEARS
A TRILLION seconds is 31,688 YEARS!

You can pretend it's okay, but owing 15 TIMES THAT AMOUNT is killing our Country and you need to prepare. How long would your family be secure if you put more than half of your expenses on credit cards. Electric = credit card. Groceries = Credit card. Your family would be in ruins.

You cannot prepare if you are not aware or don't care. Pay off your debts, the Bible says you are a slave to whom you owe! Even an atheist knows that.

And prepare to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF in the future and not rely on government or anyone else. We are the government and we can't afford to pay anymore. Remember, we owe 15 Trillion to people who don't like us.

If you need Food Insurance for your family see us at www.FamilyReadyFood.com
If you need help Organizing Head, Home or Heart I'm here for you at www.A1organizing.com

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS - We can't prepare for what we don't know!

PS April 18th 2011 America received a poor credit rating from Standard and Poor. We are a bad risk.

Just remember, WE CHRISTIANS DON'T PANIC, WE PREPARE! Tell your family and friends

10 life changing things to do RIGHT NOW!

These are 10 things you can do (or not do) RIGHT NOW that will enhance your life and change the lives of those around you.  Guaranteed.

10.    Watch less TV and skip the commercials.  Don’t create that “lust for more” by wanting what others have.  Be satisfied with what you have materially.  When you are happy with what you have you don’t mind sharing.

  1. Don’t lie about others, simply be truthful and avoid gossip.

  1. Keep your hands to yourself.  Don’t take what isn’t yours.

  1. Be True to your word or don’t say it.  Be faithful in what you think, say and do.

  1. Help other People, Don’t ever hurt someone else.  I heard somewhere very
reliable that murder is a sin.

  1. Respect your Parents, they are why you are here.  Speak to them and of them
Respectfully always.  Treat them with honor simply for the position they hold.

  1. Set time aside to think.  Structure your time, your week so you have time to reflect on the things that really matter.

  1. Broaden your horizons if you curse.  It shows a limited vocabulary, that you
lack self control, good judgement, and that you don’t care about the feelings of
anyone but yourself.   Just who are we to “GD” anything or anyone, is the Creator of the World taking your cue??

2.        Don’t make “things” so important in your life that someone could mistake them
for idols.  Prioritize your life by putting first things first.

1.        Know the Creator of Existence.   Trust in the One who made you.  He is the
only One who has loved you so much that He died for YOU.

I can guarantee that these are the 10 things that will change your life, not because I say so, but the One who put every star in it’s proper place and knew you before He formed you in the womb tells you so in His Word.

No, I can’t take credit for these for they are the 10 commandments, I just started backwards.  I just pray you knew that as you were reading them.   More people today know 10 brands of beer but cannot name the 10 commandments.   Christians, we have work to do!

14 Things To Do Right Now To Improve Your Habitude TODAY

1. Write out your core values, do it right now. I’m not asking for “who” is most important to you, I’m asking “what” is important to you. What is morally important to you, what values do you want to your children to exhibit?

2. Have Mentors in the most important areas of your Life. For instance, if you are having a hard time with your “Values”, it would be great to have a Mentor!

3. Watch less than one hour of TV a day

4. Laugh out loud every day. If you need help, Grammy will inspire you, just call us!

5. Walk 30 minutes a day - alone or with a loved one

6. You be the most positive person around today, be the Shining Light!
Smile and say “Hello” to everyone you see. Make eye contact too.

7. List 10 reasons to be grateful right now – add 3 more each day

8. Make the habit of spending time with your Creator before you get out of bed

9. Start and Keep planned weekly dates with your Spouse, something you both
can look forward to.

10. Tuck the kids into bed every night, Pray with them while you are there Yes,
even teenagers, especially teenagers!

11. Pray with your Spouse at least once a day – Morning & Night are good times.
I heard Dr. Phil say on TBN that the divorce rate among spouses who pray
together themselves, is only 1 out of 10,000!!! Why are we not praying
with our partners!?#@

12. Live as if this were true, because it is: If you don’t forgive others, you will
not be forgiven when it is most important!

13. This one is great for your kids as well:
Look for, seek out someone you can help each day – help carry, open door,
help pay, leave a nice note, encourage, give time, tell good job, help with
chores, just listen. ** This is your cure for depression as well **

14. Plan some time to reflect – either alone or with a Mentor. Take the time to
see if you are where you want to be at this stage of your life and set goals to
accomplish the rest.

A Mentor is someone who shares the same values, that you like, and has experience in
what you desire. A Mentor is very much like a Coach. Mentors and Coaches will not do the actions for you, they will help you set the appropriate actions and keep you motivated and accountable.

It’s nice having someone to help you by sharing ideas and experience to hold you to your goals, but I find the most sought after part is the “keeping me motivated!”

Your Plan

Never before have I heard so much about planning, it truly is an Organizer's dream.  Most of us are noticing that our Country, just like our family, can't survive long by borrowing money for everyday items, every day.   Really, how long could you continue using credit cards to pay everything from your mortgage to utilities to groceries.  Please pay attention to what is going on.

Whether it is hyper inflation from our debt, food shortages or chaos that creates it,  you know a crisis is coming.  I pray you are paying attention and creating a plan... just in case.   I pray you are one of the many who have decided that it couldn't hurt to be ready... just in case.  So if you are taking the time to plan, I want to help you.  I can't cook, sing or sew but organizing and planning... this I know!

Please make sure you have these things in your plan:

1. Communicate to all family and friends where you will meet if an Emergency were to happen, natural disaster or man-made.    Whose house?   Inside or Outside?    Be very specific.

2. Whichever place is chosen for your family and friends to meet, you need to have supplies.  I would suggest at least a 90 day supply of the following:
          A. Enough water for all, at least one gallon per person per day available for drinking, clean up etc.
          B. Enough food for all, at least 2 meals per day (high calorie) per person.  (what about pets?)
          C. Paper products like toilet paper, diapers, depends...
          D. Soaps like shampoo, conditioner, dishsoap, laundry soap
          E. Candles, lighters, flashlights, batteries, lamp oil, lamps etc.
          F. First Aid kit

  3.    Consider a heat source if it pertains to you.  In a crisis there may be no electric, what will be your heat source?

Remember, We Christians Don't Panic. We Prepare!

Go to www.familyreadyfood.com  - sign into our guestbook and tell me how you are planning for the eventual crisis!

If you are a caregiver that buys depends, you need to know how to make a "Gramma Onesie" Happy Birthday Grammy!

Praise God for rising gas prices?!

I am challenging you.

As Americans we hate to be put in the position of little or no choice. So I say let’s not put ourselves in that position! Do it on purpose!

You knw how differently it feels when we CAN’T buy something versus when we make up our minds NOT buy something. By making decisions now and sticking to them, we take back our power, as well as our control! When we go to the store for 3 items and leave with 10 (or more) we are the victim. We consider ourselves spoiled (as if it were a good thing) for all we have when in reality we are like sheep being led to the slaughter.

If soaring gas prices are what we need for this reality check, then so be it. And yes, praise God. Now is the time for a major decision. Prepare your family by making plans ahead of time. I challenge you. Again, it's different when you HAVE TO to something vs. Having made the decision ahead of time yourself!

1. Drive on purpose. Consolidate, spend more time at home with your family!
2. Don't put something in the laundry if it doesn't really need it.
3. Purposefully use the electric. Don't have lights on that you don't need and limit the amount of TV time! (that will benefit your family in more ways than one!)
4. Stock up! We all wish we could have stocked up gasoline prior to now. We all know the cost of food is becoming ridiculous. Made this critical decision and stock up on food!

We have expanded our Organizing business to include "Organizing for a Crisis" because we sleep so much better knowing that no matter what crisis comes ahead, man-made or otherwise, our family will not go hungry.

You better believe tougher times are in our future. So yes, praise God for high gas prices if that prompts us to begin living, spending and parenting more purposefully!

Go to www.FamilyReadyFood.com and if you call me with your order of over $100 I will ship this 10 year amazing food (all natural and AMERICAN MADE) to you for free! And if you mention "Holly's Habitude" you will also get 10% off!

Past Patterns = Future

One of the coolest things I found when I began reading the Bible would have to be the Patterns.  His Word tells us that there is nothing new, everything has been done before.  There is so much to get into, I don't want to overwhelm, but I don't want you to be afraid to due of all the chaos going on. It has been written this way, there is nothing to fear.  Let's see why:

The Jewish Wedding - a foreshadowing, a picture, a pattern of the rapture.  Let's remember, as the Church, we are called the Bride (for a reason) and  Jesus is called the bridegroom (for a reason.)  Before I learned about this (and some other patterns we'll go over another time), I didn't know if we would be here for the coming tribulation or not.  See what you think:

1. In the Jewish custom of old, the bridegroom leaves his fathers house to choose his bride.
2. Jesus left his Father's to come here and he wants you for His own.

1. The bridegroom searches for the one he wants and then asks her to be his, if she says yes, they make a covenent.
2. Jesus searches you out and asks you to be His - we too have a choice.  As Christians we make a covenant, a promise

1. After this, the Bridegroom returns to his fathers house to prepare a place for her near his fathers house.
2. Jesus left to go to His Father to prepare a place for us.

1. The bride has no idea when the bridegroom will return for her, but she is to be ready at all times.
2. We have no idea when Jesus will return, but we are to be ready.(although we will go over time patterns next time!)

1. The bridegroom secretly comes and takes her to the place he has prepared for her, it is called the "Huppah" which means God's protection, His covering.  The Israelites called the cloud that led in the dessert by day and pillar of fire that led by night the Huppah.
2. Jesus comes back for the Church, His bride, and takes her to the place He has prepared for us, our Huppah

1. The bride and groom stay in the Huppah for 7 days before coming out and revealing her to everyone
2. The tribulation is 7 years and then we come back to earth with Him, all the world will see.

Nothing in the Bible is there for filler.  In the beginning you read and wonder "why does he write about the Jewish festivals so much, they are insignificant today" but upon further study you know He has a reason for everything.  He wants us to know these patterns, because:  As Christians we don't panic, we prepare!

What in the World is going on?

If you spend any time at all watching television you must know that times are changing.

If you watch Fox News you know what the situation is right now.  And if you read the Bible, you know what is coming next.  I hope your Pastor is talking to you on Sundays about the world in conflict.

We are called to be strong confident Christian women, Proverbs 31 women.  Proverbs 31 women aren't blindsided by the enemy.   No one can be confident without being prepared.

Yes, I will give you a discount on your food insurance, and include free shipping, but I urge you to buy no matter where you get it.  And get as much as you can afford, I recommend at least 90 days worth for your entire family.

The riots are happening here too.  The food service is also a union.  When they strike where will we go for food?

Please be ready, we are called to be wise.  DON'T PANIC, PREPARE!

Important Information to have on you always… and WHERE to keep it!

At least one person in your family ought to be able to access this information immediately if and when needed.  And of course, it’s usually the Mom!  Let’s list what you should have on you for each member of your family:

Doctor's name and telephone including Dentist
Driver’s license number
Social Security Numbers for all
Medical Insurance info
Any prescription info (meds or eyeglass prescription)
Auto Insurance information with contact info
School contact information (if applies)
Work phone numbers for all

By now you must be saying “Where would I keep all that and why would I have it where others could possibly get it?!”

Well, I keep it all in my planner.  This information is in the back on my A-Z pages.  Each is listed in accordance to relevance.  “D” for Doctor etc.    Why have it on me?

When I’m at the Dentist or Doctor, I have all my info with me.
I can make appointments at the time of any visit, even a year in advance.
I don’t have to c/b places to give additional information.
I am ready if a crisis would occur and I couldn’t get home…
I AM JUST ALWAYS READY.

I code information in my planner, Social Security Numbers look like phone numbers with extensions.  All private information is in there but not decipherable to anyone but me. Get creative.

It’s all about being ready and not wasting time.  Knowing you have all you need, and how to locate it is a big stress reliever.  I hate the frustration of looking for information, don’t you?!

Habitude?!

So really, just what is a habitude and what is yours?    Well, my habitude it’s one of the things that people remember about me, my passion, my energy… my attitude.   I think people wonder if I’m “really like this”, even at home.  The answer is yes, because I can't even stop it now.  That is why I call it my Habitude; my attitude comes from my habits… ergo Habitude.   In the beginning it was more purposeful and took more work.   However, like anything else we practice, we get better at it.

No purpose.  There were so many things I would do without a purpose, without thinking, things that had become just automatic, bad habits. Just putting the mail down anywhere, letting kids watch whatever wanted on TV.  Or not eating anything green, not drinking any water, not taking my make-up off at night, or even smoking!

But when I stopped to think about some of these things years ago, I intentionally changed my habits, my life.   I made a mail station, I put guidelines in place for the television.  I choked down vegetables, I got a water bottle and used it.  I simply started a new routine with my make up and I made a decision to stop smoking.      None of those things were automatic at first.  In fact, some were very difficult, but there isn't one of those that isn't out of habit now, they take no thought, I just do it (or don't do it!)

That sums up my habitude.  The habit of doing things on purpose; things I think, say and do.  Certainly not perfect, but much better! We absolutely have the ability to control all of these things, it says so in the Bible, so I Act as if.

You have a habitude too, what habits are you doing to create your attitude?   Are you telling yourself that you are created in the Almighty’s image and are loved so much that a life was given for you?  Are you in the habit of speaking and acting like an Ambassador of the Lord?   Or do we think we aren’t good enough, do we dwell in the land of compare.      I CHOOSE my attitude just like everyone else CHOOSES theirs.   And quite frankly, those questions are what got me to quit smoking.  When I realized this, smoking just didn't "fit" anymore.  That was many years ago.

Don’t forget you have a “habitude” as well, so what is your attitude by habit?   And even better, what do you want it to be?  Because it can be that.  I'm here to help if you want someone to hold you accountable.  Believe me, it helps!   More at A1organizing

Which is More Dangerous?

So sometimes it just comes down to this:

Which is more dangerous, believing it, or not believing it?

When speaking about Salvation to someone who doesn’t believe in Jesus, I like to say, “If you are right, and I am wrong, saying there is no heaven/hell, then ok, I’m just dead.  But if I am right and you are wrong…whoa!”

The same thing is true with Food Insurance, “If no crisis comes in 10 years, than you just have a year of food paid for in 2021!  But if I’m right and you are wrong… your family will become victims.”

This theme is seen throughout the Bible.   If you don’t plant in the spring you may be begging in the fall.

Which is more dangerous, believing it, or not believing it?

Go to Family Ready Food and start to think about what you would need: 100% no cook or 52% no cook.  Think about how much you would need for 3 meals a day each member of your family.  And here’s the biggie:  CHECK THE CALORIES.  We chose Gourmet Supreme because it has over 2,000 calories per day.  In a crisis you don’t need to eat like a bird!

Just like the movie Jaws

Good morning!

I will never forget the first time I read a book, then saw the movie afterwards. It was "Jaws" in 1975, I was in 5th grade.   It was so neat to know what was coming, yet anticipating seeing it come alive in front of you, even if you knew parts were going to be scary.

And it's here again, just like the movie Jaws.  Only this time, it's the Bible and it is very clear and very specific.  As scary as it may seem, I still love to see where it speaks of the riots in Egypt that are happening today... and know that it was written nearly 2,750 years ago!   I also love that we were told ahead of time about the coming food crisis, "a days wages for a loaf of bread" is coming, just as sure as every other thing in the Bible has come true and/or now coming true.

We opened Family Ready Food to give our friends a chance to plan ahead and be prepared.  We have extended our Free Shipping for another week.  This will save you between $20-$400!

You know hard times are coming, I hope you are planning with your family.   This food is cheaper, healthier, easier and TASTIER than nearly all other food in the grocery store.  I'm not kidding.  If you call in your order and mention Holly's Habitude... you will get an additional 10% off orders of more than $100! this week

- oh, and it's lasts for 10 years, we call it HUNGER INSURANCE.    See Family Ready Food LLC here and/or call me (Holly Boyd) at 740 757 2944

So... if you had to...

So just how long do we realistically think we can live without going to the grocery store.   I mean really, if we could not leave for a week (for any reason) how long before you would be going hungry?  I don't think we realize just how much we eat in a day!   I know that when my husband and kids are home for the entire day, I fill the dishwasher at least twice, how about you?  That's a lot of food.

I urge you to be prepared, and not just in food, remember other things like toilet paper!   Certainly it couldn't hurt to have extra, right?   Because like with food, you KNOW you will use toilet paper... neither one would go to waste!

When Organizing becomes Critical

Organizing is about acknowledgment.  It is evaluating your needs and preparing ahead of time.   Although most of us have never had to truly worry about going hungry, 2011 truly may be the year of CHANGE that we kept hearing about.

Organizing has always been about preparing in advance.  Yes, it is irritating when you can’t find your keys.  Yes, it is stressful looking for important papers.  Yes you may yell when you can’t find the remote…

But…

There’s a new kind of organizing & preparing for Americans that we never had a need to do before, and this is critical.  We can live in a mess if we must, but we can’t live without food.   The best time to organize is BEFORE the crisis fully hits… and the crisis is coming.  Unless you live in a box, you know it is coming too, but what do we do?

Throughout history it has been proven (especially in the Bible) that people will do anything when they are hungry.  That is how entire countries become enslaved.  Don't let it happen to your family.  Be prepared ahead of time!

I want to share with you why my Organizing business now includes organizing for a crisis.  Your family needs to be prepared.  My family is now ready and I want to share that peace with you today.   If you would like to know about HUNGER INSURANCE  follow me here!
