Yes, Habitude. What really is Holly's Habitude? Well, it’s one of the things that people remember about me, my passion, my energy… my attitude. I think people wonder if I’m “really like this”, even at home. The answer is YES! That is why I call it my Habitude; my attitude comes from my habits… ergo Habitude.

I am in the Habit of doing things on purpose; things I think, say and do. We absolutely have the ability to control all of these things, it says so in the Bible, so I Act as if.

You have a habitude too, what habits are you doing to create your attitude? Are you telling yourself that you are created in the Almighty’s image and are loved so much that a life was given for you? Are you in the habit of speaking and acting like an Ambassador of the Lord? Or do we think we aren’t good enough, do we dwell in the land of compare. I CHOOSE my attitude just like everyone else CHOOSES theirs.

Don’t forget you have a “habitude” as well, so what is your attitude by habit?

Holly's Habitude: I just wanted to scream!

Today was one of those days that I could have screamed! You know those days, password complications, Computer problems, bill issues, hard decisions, money challenges, time constraints, kids running around, TV too loud, phone ringing but no one answering, everybody's hungry, everything is too loud and no one can find the toilet paper but you. Oh, and I remembered the last 30 minutes I had to go vote. You want to scream. I wanted to scream, but this day I didn't. I haven't really "lost it" in a while actually.

There really is a life of peace awaiting you. I know because our Creator tells us so in His Word. I love what I do because I live what I teach, so I know that it works! During my trials today I decided to focus on what I could accomplish, instead of pulling my hair out and wouldn't you know it, just like the Bible says, my patience paid off. It all works great now, thank you for your patience with my computer and e mail issues.

Starting your New Year over

The "New Year" starts at many different points for many different people.  For the "Boyd Family" ours is today.  As most of you know, my husband's mother (Grammy) lived with us for 2 years: severe alzheimer's.   I took care of her full time.  She was a blessing for us, yet a relief for us, and an answered prayer for mercy for her when she passed away peacefully Monday.

Just know that it is okay to start your "New Year" at any point, you didn't miss the boat if your goals haven't been met yet, or even started yet.  You can do that today.   So "Happy New Year!"... amen!

How do you make the Creator of time, space and everything laugh?   Tell Him YOUR plans.   Let it sink in, then you'll get it.

I know for a fact, because it says right in Genesis, right from the beginning, that we get what we sow.  We do get a harvest, we do get what we have been consciously planting (or subconsciously).  But ultimately it is His plan and His timing, it will be the "season" of his Will, not our own.

As I have been home with "Alzheimer's Grammy" for the last 2 years, believe me, I must remind myself of ultimately Who is in control - and thank goodness!  One day, Grammy is up and alert, eating so much I believe she'll be pushing me in a wheelchair one day, but then the next day I'm thinking "oh no, this is it".  What an odd position this is, what an odd disease this is.

I just want to encourage you that we serve an Ever Present God, a God who loves us so much Jesus stepped out of perfect eternity into a world that hated and killed him... knowing it ahead of time.  When I stop to think about it, I can't get over it.  Pondering on this helps me a lot.

Take some time today to know that He is in control, and remember that He chose you, remember what He did for you and what He did for each one of us.  Amazing.  We never know when someone will pass, not really.  We should be sharing the only hope we really have, it's great news!

And remember, it is easier to relax and be thankful in an organized area.  Less mess, less stress.  God Bless!

How to start being that Shining Light

So the very first thing we must KNOW in order to live the life of a SHINING LIGHT,  is that we MUST be organized, we must be purposeful.  The law of the land never changes, but we must know the rules to play properly and get the outcome we desire!  Okay,   Here are the rules...are you ready?

GENESIS 8:22  tells us that as long as the earth remains we will have sowing and reaping - what you think, say and do will grow - in ourselves and in those around us.  The Bible tells us in Galatians not to give up because we will reap our harvest, in His proper time, if we do not give up.  If you are in the will of God, do NOT give up.  Be that Shining Light!

Simply Grateful

I am so grateful to be walking normally today, I could have been in a wheelchair due to my own stupidity.
I am so grateful to have a faithful husband when I so much heartbreak among friends.
I am grateful that my children are healthy enough to be loud and annoying.

I am grateful.  So today I will ACT AS IF and not complain.  Not even once.

How about you?  What are you so grateful for?  And how will you ACT AS IF?

I know if I don't do some things "on purpose" they just never get done, even gratitude. 

Proof that you are NOT your body!

It is Time.

This is something I will fight for.
I hope you read it all the way through.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

I'm asking each addressee to forward this Holly's Habitude or to re-tweet and/or facebook this to a minimum of twenty people on your address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

Congressional Reform Act of 2011

1. No Tenure / No Pension.   A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
 
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 
 
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 
 
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.


7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. 

 

Our Country is in trouble because of greedy people who don't care.
